About the Cadet

The Cadet is a realistic, harness compatible dildo by Pleasure Works. The Cadet is made from body-safe silicone and comes in 3 different flesh tones. It features a curved shaft with realistic veining and a soft, but pronounced, coronal ridge. All of which combined make this dildo a winner, especially when it comes to G-spot and P-spot play.

Pleasure Works Cadet

The Cadet comes inside a plastic bag inside of a simple recyclable box. The box has a few images of the toy and has some information about the Cadet and its features.

Pleasure Works Cadet Measurements

The Cadet is a total of 7.5″ long, with about 6.75″ of it being insertable. The head measures 4.5″ around, halfway down the shaft has a circumference of 5″ and near the base the shaft gets up to 5.25″. The harness compatible base is close to 0.5″ thick and has a diameter of just under 3″.

Even though the base is completely flat, it has amazing suction power. Almost every time I set it down on a desk or counter it sticks. I’m really amazed at how well mine creates a suction on flat surfaces, I was definitely not expecting it.

There is some stylized details and texture on this toy. The head has some lined detail on it that does resemble the texture that can found on a real penis. There are also ridges down the front of the shaft that look like stylized veins. The veins are extremely smooth and will glide easily and without any catching. Also, in case you can’t tell from the photos, the shaft is not perfectly round, but instead is oval-shaped.

The Cadet does have some flexibility, especially at the edges of the flat base, but it should still fit snugly in a harness. As you can see, there is no drooping when held out straight like it would be in a harness.

Even though the Cadet is firm enough to stand up in a harness, it’s still very soft and flexible. You can easily bend it in half and you can squeeze it a little bit.

The Cadet’s firmness still allows for easy insertion and thrusting, but its softness makes it more forgiving, especially with a partner who might get carried away when thrusting.

The Cadet is made from body-safe silicone and comes in 3 different flesh tones (mine is in Caramel, which is the medium shade). Silicone is latex and phthalate free , and non porous; meaning it won’t harbor any harmful bacteria in its material. Silicone is one of the safest sex toy materials and is great if you share your toys because it is completely sterilizable.

The silicone used in the Cadet does have a bit of drag when it’s dry and lint and hairs will easily stick to it. But the silicone is completely smooth and doesn’t have any velvety texture, so when this toy is lubed up, it glides very, very well.

Cleaning

For cleaning I like to spray my Cadet with toy cleaner and rinse it off in the sink. You can also use soap and water or toy wipes if you prefer. You can also sterilize the Cadet by boiling the toy in a pot of water for a few minutes or by soaking it in a 10% bleach solution.

Because this toy is silicone it’s recommended to use only water-based lubes with it. Silicone-based lubes and silicone toys can potentially have a chemical reaction to each other that can result in the material of the toy being damaged. I recommend avoiding silicone-based lubes just to be safe, but if there’s a silicone lubricant you really want to use, I recommend doing a spot test first. Dab a bit of the lube on a small area on part of the toy that won’t be inserted, and if you see any change in texture or stickiness develop, do not use that lube.

My Thoughts

Before I got the Cadet, I had amassed a decent collection of silicone dildos and Vixskins were my top favorites. I wasn’t familiar with pleasure Works, and I didn’t think they would be able to rival my Beloved Vixskins. But it turns out the Cadet might be my favorite dildo to date. Seriously, no joke.

I really, really love how the Cadet feels, the silicone has a nice amount of give to it, but there’s still that bit of needed firmness that makes this toy so effective for the G-spotting. For comparison, the softness feels very close to Vixen Creations regular silicone. So it’s soften than regular Tantus and Tantus O2 , but it’s not as soft as Vixskin or Tantus’ super soft silicone. Out of all the different dildos I’ve tried the Cadet is one the most realistic feeling ones yet.

For size comparison here is the Cadet next to a number of other realistic dildos:

Also, the silicone is incredibly smooth and lube seems to last a long time and doesn’t slide off or seem to disappear like it can on other silicone toys. The texture is also fabulous, the veining is so smooth and it glides very comfortably. You make not even outright notice the texture, but it greatly enhances my experience when using this toy.

I feel the Cadet was made for me. The medium size is perfect, and the shape and texture are spot on. It actually has been dubbed the “magic dildo” by my hubby because of how well it works for me. I’ve never had this amazing of an experience with a dildo before.

The fact that the shaft has a flatter, oval shape is what I think makes it stand out so much from most of the others I own. Basically, you can get the feeling of girth without a lot of pressure or pinching on your pubic bone. And the veined texture on the flatter front of the shaft doesn’t feel as intrusive or abrasive on the pubic bone as it might on a perfectly round shaft.

And then there’s the head, which does an amazing job of hitting all the right spots. The head also has that slightly oval shape, so the front of the head and coronal ridge are a little flatter and can nestle up around the G-spot really well. I also think the little bit a lined texture on the head adds a bit of stimulation.

I know the some people won’t be crazy about the realistic look of this dildo. If you’re one of those people and you are thinking about breaking out of your comfort zone; I will tell you that this toy is awesome and so worth it. The Cadet is also really affordable compared to a lot of the other quality options out there. If you’re looking for a great toy at a reasonable price, the Cadet is a great option.

I really can’t rave about this toy enough, Pleasure Works did everything right. It’s not too big, not too small, not to soft and not to firm, and has just the right amount of texture. I’m very impressed with the Cadet and I’m looking forward to trying more toys by Pleasure Works in the future.

  • Oh man, your photos and words are wooing me! Seriously, GV should hire you to take their product photos; they do the toy so much more justice.

It sorta reminds me of the Jollies Jack with that textured head… and I love the Jack. It’s also pretty affordable. I AM INTRIGUED.

    • ArchVixen

      Thanks for the compliment!

I didn’t realize the Jack had any texture, I’ve always thought it looked really cool, just never got my hands on one.
But yeah, the Cadet is pretty awesome and I’ve been reaching for it quite often.

      • It does! The head is highly textured.

  • Pantophile Panic

I really don’t like the look of realistic dildos, but you’ve actually made me curious. Better than Vixskin? Most realistic feeling? I am totally in awe here. Also, I love seeing your collection of realistic dildos all lined up for comparison. It gives a really good idea of how large the toy is. If only the Cadet came in green. *sighs*

    • ArchVixen

Yeah, I was kind of shocked at just how much I love it! And don’t get me wrong, Vixskin is still amazing, but the little little bit of firmness + texture the Cadet has is just awesome. It’s crazy, I haven’t gushed this much about a toy in a while.

It’s pretty much right between the Mustang and Buck size-wise. I really should have thrown the mustang into the comparison lineup, but I didn’t because mine’s hot pink and it didn’t quite go with the whole realistic thing I had going on.

And yes, colors would be awesome! Who knows what they might come out with next.

  • Camryn Jones

Great job with the comparison photo! I see several toys that are on my wishlist that I now lust after further. Yum!
Your description of the silicone is really appealing to me since I find Vixskin a bit too squishy for my G-spot to pay attention to. The Cadet’s silicone sounds like it would suit me better.

  • Wait wait. Let me get this straight. Did you just say that it is BETTER than Vixskin? I just heard people tell me that Vixskin felt like a real dick…so this feels even real-er???? Wow I’m in awe here! I NEED to get this thing inside of me. *goes searching on the internet*
